The Problem using Chlorine:

Chlorine is a good disinfectant under certain conditions, but a common problem with most pools and spas when the pH becomes a little high, chlorine becomes very ineffective.

Test data from several independent sources clearly demonstrates that using a combination of copper, silver and chlorine as a disinfectant and algaecide in swimming pools and spas will do a better job of insuring the health of swimmers with no increased risk while purifying the water. Copper was a more effective algaecide and silver the more effective bactericide. Recent studies have shown each to be highly effective in the control and killing of both bacteria and algae, including E. coli. This method has the advantage over chlorine of remaining very stable in swimming pools.

The PoolRX Secret:

PoolRX is natural mineral-based water purification system that provides an efficient and safe way to sanitize swimming pools. It’s Natures own purifying process that uses zinc, silver and a heavily isolated copper element to create clear and algae free water. The minerals and a constant low oxidizer residual eliminate contaminants to keep water crystal clear without algae and bacteria. Simply drop the patented PoolRX unit into the pool pump basket or into the pool top skimmer basket.

The minerals are contained inside a metal rod in the middle of the PoolRX Unit. Placing the PoolRX Unit into water releases these minerals. They will dissolve within 4 to 6 hours and dispense throughout the pool to form a balance of safe, stable and natural minerals. Re-circulating pool water flows back through the unit inside the pump or skimmer basket, rejuvenating the PoolRX minerals. This unique process allows the minerals to regain their ionic charge allowing them to continuously combat contaminants and clarify your pool water.

The unique PoolRX formula contains 3-minerals: copper, silver and zinc with a patented sequestrate agent, giving you superb water quality that is clear and algae free requiring only a very low chlorine residual of 0.5 ppm to 1.0 ppm for a residential pool.

The PoolRx minerals are natural, do not adversely affect water chemistry, are non-corrosive, reduce the need to add more chemicals and are harmless to bathers. These minerals are safe and natural to you, but deadly to contaminants in the water. In fact, there are fewer minerals in the pool water than in EPA safe drinking water standards. These minerals will not dissipate from heat or sunlight, so they last much longer than other pool sanitizers do.

The minerals are however lost through backwash and splash-out. If your pool is open and used all year round, the minerals can replaced by simply adding a PoolRX Booster every 6 months, and you should replace the main PoolRX unit every 2 years. If you live in a seasonal climate and you winterize your pool part of the year, we recommend installing a new PoolRX Unit at the beginning of each swimming season. An additional PoolRX Booster unit may be required for any pool depending on your pool size. Please refer to our table below.
